On July 1st, “Spaced Out Radio” host, Dave Scott, posted his “Thought of the Dave” on his Facebook page. Bob McGwier, a Research Professor at Virginia Tech University with a PhD in applied mathematics, commented and left behind a gift and huge data point for researchers of the Wilson/Davis documents.

On October 16th, 2002, Admiral Thomas Wilson, who had just retired as the director of the Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA), allegedly met with Astrophysicist Dr. Eric Davis in Las Vegas and explained how he was denied access to a hidden, Unacknowledged Special Access Program that dealt with UFOs and which allegedly had an intact craft in its possession. Dr. McGwier posted this on Dave Scott’s Facebook.

According to his Linkedin page, Dr. McGwier is the former Chief Scientist at The Hume Center. Their website states:

The Hume Center leads Virginia Tech’s research, education, and outreach programs focused on the challenges of cybersecurity, autonomy, and resilience for the national security community. Education programs provide mentorship, internships, scholarships, and seek to address key challenges in qualified US citizens entering federal and industry service. Current research initiatives include machine learning and artificial intelligence, assured and secure communications, space and undersea missions, and 5G security.

He is also the founder and technical advisor for HawkEye 360, “the first commercial company to use formation flying satellites to create a new class of radio frequency (RF) data and data analytics.” But among the most important items listed on his impressive resume is his connection to the Institute of Defense Analyses. The following is from his Linkedin page:

And more from the VBProfiles page:

Dr. McGwier spent 26 years as a Member of the Technical Staff at the Institute for Defense Analyses’ Center for Communications Research in Princeton, NJ, where he worked on advanced research topics in mathematics and communications supporting the federal government

It’s an impressive resume. Just to be clear about what he said in his Facebook post, I’ll recap: Not long after 2002, when Admiral Wilson allegedly met with Dr. Davis in Las Vegas, Dr. McGwier viewed a mail from Wilson to someone else in which Wilson confirmed the meeting with Davis and contents of what they discussed. This is a blockbuster claim so I tried to find out more. I reached out to him on Facebook Messenger and he answered some of my questions. I was hoping for more but he explained that at this moment, he is reluctant to be involved but will reconsider in the future.

Joe Murgia (JM): Can you just tell me what year the mail/email was from?

Dr. Bob, McGwier (DBM): I believe the thing is dated because (Admiral Thomas) Wilson was a stickler for protocol and formality. I knew him when he was DIA head and I did work for them as an associate of the Institute for Defense Analyses (IDA), which is how I came to know him. I think it was 2004 or 2005. The reason is, I returned from an overseas deployment in 2002. I recovered and began a major technical development in 2004. In late 2004 or early 2005, I went embedded at U.S. government entities that IDA worked for.

It is my opinion, given my three decades of time in the Intel Community and the high level at which I worked, that EVERYONE involved in that memo and meeting has paid a price and will continue to do so for a while. Time will heal it, but maybe a scar or two will be left. They are heroes, all of them.

JM: Exactly! I hope I get to meet TW in the future. Humanity will owe him a great debt one day. I am trying to find your connection with Admiral Wilson on Linkedin.

DBM: It is not apparent. What is apparent is my association with a top think thank for Pentagon and Intelligence Community elements.  This affiliation was with Institute for Defense Analyses. That is how I came to know him. I left it to join Virginia Tech at the request of the former director of science and technology at the CIA. That is Ted Hume and the Center I was chief scientist for is named after him.

I have not been able to find any public information that would directly connect these two gentlemen but to me, Dr. McGwier’s resume speaks for itself. On the March 15th, 2020 edition of “Fade to Black,” he spoke about his situation at the time. “I am under a security oath, I continue to have a security clearance because some of the projects that we do, are for one or more of the agencies and as such, I’m exposed to classified data.” So once again, he’s not just some guy off the street making a claim.

This doesn’t prove anything but for me, it’s just another nail in the coffin that was already sealed shut. These documents are the real McCoy and from our private conversation, it’s clear he believes the NYT is working on this story. But like all of us, he doesn’t know the contents or angle they’re taking and told me he will not reveal his source for the mail until the situation becomes clearer. And if we ever get access to an intact craft, I can imagine Dr. Bob McGwier looking under the hood as he tries to figure out the propulsion system that could take humans to another star system.

I believe more is coming in the New York Times article but for me, it’s already game, set and match.
